Even the games that do not allow you to shell out real money have this feature. So it means they do not discriminate if you’re playing for money or for sheer entertainment.

What’s the name of that knife?

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

It has holes on the handle so you can put your fingers through them in order to hold it. The blade may be curved too.

Do you mean a trench knife?

——–

Is it a knife or more like a sword? Scimitar? haha I don’t know.

Gift Ideas for Fun-Loving Kids

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Buying gifts for kids can be a lot of stress, most especially if you are not sure if the toy will be valuable to the child. Whether you are buying a toy for a kid’s birthday, or because it’s the Holiday season, you could be put to a lot of pressure deciding on the perfect gift to purchase. Believe it or not, kids can be a little picky when it comes to the toys they receive. So, if you want to save yourself from hearing a child’s harsh opinion about your gift, give something really pleasant and enjoyable.

Kids are very inquisitive by nature and they’re all about fun and excitement. That’s why giving Estes rockets is a great gift for kid whose love for thrill never seem to cease. The child will enjoy building his first rocket and be doubly amazed once it goes off.

There are also model trains that you can buy, and Bachmann train sets can be a good starter. The kid will be delighted with the different designs and wagons that he can put together. The child might even develop a real hobby out of model trains start getting collectibles in the future.

You can also give a gas RC car, as kids like to run around, and find enjoyment in power and speed.

How long does the life of a PSP fully charged last?

Thursday, November 29th, 2007
  1. idk i dont play those things
  2. 6 hours i think maximum
  3. go over to system settings and then go to battery, it will tell you, but i think its usualy like 6 hours not sure
  4. uhhh….24??Lol.. i’m not sure…
  5. if you use it for about an hour each day for 3 days it should be dead on the 3rd day, i have one and i use it for an hour mostly, but i don’t know longer than that, but i do know that the battery sucks lol.
  6. depends on what battery u get
u can buy a battry with good stamina in best buy and circut city
it will give u 5 more hours than the regular batery
    Normal = 5
Buy new battery with good stamina = 12 - 15 hours

depends on what use u give to ur PSP
playing with a UMD disc would make the PSP run out fo battery fast since the disc reader is working
but if u just use it ti listen to music watch videos and all of that or thing that dont involve games ur battery would last longer

Is a buffalo head nickel still valuable if you cant see the year on it because it’s so worn out?

Thursday, October 25th, 2007
  1. It is probably still worth at least 5 cents.
  2. Sorry :-( I don’t think so, and to worth more than a quarter, it would have be in perfect condition.
There are a lot of them still out there, so they aren’t yet that valuable…except for a few years , I cant think of exactly which ones right now and still they are not worth that much, if in good condition around $3.50
  3. The value is based on the date being there! even if just the last 2 numbers are all thats left there, it has value above 5 cents.
  4. Yes it is don’t spend it just keep it .
  5. Not really

What is the best way to solve a Sudoku puzzle?

Monday, September 10th, 2007

Starting with the 9’s, and working my way down, I first determine whether there are any obvious placements.

If I can narrow it down to 2 squares in a given box, I put my number, in very small print, in the lower left hand corner of both of the squares in that box.

If one square contains, for instance, a small 3 and a small 6, and another square in that same box also contains a small 3 and a small 6, I know that one of those boxes contains a 3, and one contains a 6. This is so obvious as to be almost silly, but it can give me clues for other placements.

When the puzzle is partially solved, I will try looking at the column or row that is the closest to completion. If it still needs a 7, and all but one of the empty squares are in boxes that already contain 7’s, I know where to put my 7.

These are a few of my techniques. When you fail to make progress with one, switch to another, and come up with some of your own.

To experienced quilters — what are the 10 most essential tools a beginner needs (besides sewing machine)?

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

Tools you will need:

1) Rotary Cutter
2) Olfa Mat (or any other self-healing mat) 18″ x 24″ is a good size
3) Ruler- (Omnigrid is great) a 6″ x 12″ ruler is good
4) A good pair of fabric scissors to use only for cutting fabric. I use Fiskars
5) A good iron (for pressing when you are piecing)
6) Pins. Choose long, thin, sharp (dressmaker’s) pins for piecing and appliqueing. They should also be rustproof.
7) Needles - sharps and betweens for quilting and applique
8) Quilt frame (for hand quilting)
9) Thread. Get the best you can find. For your stash, I recommend: white, tan, or medium gray cotton or cotton-covered polyester sewing thread. Polyester threads can cut cotton fibers.
Natural or off-white cotton or cotton-covered polyester quilting thread to use for hand quilting. Clear, transparent, nylon thread for machine quilting. The thread should be thin and soft, not stiff and wiry like fishing line.
10) A 1/4 foot for your sewing machine. This makes is so much easier to do 1/4 inch seems.

Books: Quilter’s Complete Guide my Marianne Fons and Liz Porter 1993 Oxmoor House, Inc.

Quick and Easy Quiltmaking: 26 projects featuring speedy cutting and piecing methods by Mary Hickey, et. al. That Patchwork Place c. 1992

The Quilter’s Ultimate Visual Guide from A to Z - Hundreds of Tips and Techniques fro Successful Quiltmaking by Ellen Pahl

Also- any books by Alex Anderson. She has a show on HGTV (or used ) called Simply Quilts. She has published books on hand quilting, piecing, etc. She is considered an expert in her field and her books are filled with easy to do projects and easy to understand instructions.

I highly recommend going to quilting classes at a local quilt shop or at a place like JoAnn’s. The teachers know what they are doing and will be happy to show you how to do it the right way. I stated off on my own and ran into problems and became very discouraged. I started taking classes and my skill levels increased and I have completed many nice quilt projects since then.
